There are various federal, New York State, and New York City labor and employment laws with which all businesses in the five boroughs must comply.

The Labor and Employment for Small Business workshop will break down a number of these laws and explain what they mean for small business owners. The requirements surrounding minimum wage and overtime pay will be discussed. Also, paid sick leave and family leave statutes will be covered. Notably, the COVID-19 pandemic has raised a host of new issues related to labor and employment. The workshop will address new rules that have been passed in response to these issues.
